#5: The G'Day Mate Bar

Despite having a blatantly Australian name, we didn't see any actual Australians in the G'Day Mate Bar. Who knows, maybe they were sleeping late in the guest house portion of the bar. Having a bar right in your hotel means never having to find your way back to your room, which is a definite plus in our book (The Book Of Drunken Tourists). When we mentioned the lack of Australians they did offer to "throw another dingo on the barbie" for us. As soon as they said that a counter clicked above the bar indicating that that was the 18,214th time that joke had been told there. The G'Day Mate Bar is conveniently located next to the Oasis Pizza shop, so the drill is:

  1. Go to the Oasis and order a pizza,
  2. Head next door to the G'Day Mate and get a beer,
  3. Wait 15 minutes, then go back to the Oasis and get your pizza,
  4. Return to the G'Day Mate to find your beer gone and 20 people ready to bum a piece of pizza off you.
Bonus: If you get there early you can actually ride your moto right into the bar and park it there.
