LOL, nope I actually seriously HATE goat and anything that comes from it.

Bacon wrapped beef is one of my favorites.

I buy a bunch of diced beef (costco)

four pack of bacon (costco)

Montreal steak seasoning

Bullseye origional steak sauce I mix superstore hickory sauce into (melds into an amazing sauce)

box of toothpicks

Basically wrap the beef with one or two entire strips of bacon and liberal hit of montreal seasoning.

Put your bbq on 3/4 heat. Sear them all on both sides. Dont let them get charcoaled, just seared.

Then take them and put them into your preheated oven to 250-300. Put them on a cookie sheet and make sure you have gooped them with steak sauce. Cook em for like 25-30 minutes. open one to check

After you pull them out, let them sit for AT LEAST 5 minutes so they will relax from the searing and cooking in the oven. they will be tender and juicy and all that rot.

the bonus? Everyone loves meat steak and bacon. If you dont you have issues.

EDIT: religious reasons are legal

Lise

Hmmm. That actually sounds delicious. It's just too bad I can't take bacon. No pork, remember? Do you have anything without pork?

Sorry.... made you typed for nothing.

EDIT: anyways, gotta run. I'll check in later. Bye Russ!

Russ

Uh, I put my foot in my mouth on that one did I not? Sorry...

Try to do it without the bacon? Its still bite size, I dont see why you couldnt. I keep forgetting bacon is pork.

  Hmm, lemme think on this.

  Ok, small chicken wings.

Same sauces, montreal and steak seasoning.

And chicken wings.

  35-40% heat on 'que.

Put the wings on and season with the dry montreal seasoning. Flip over and season the other side while it is still moist and sticky. When the one side is starting to creep white (cooked chicken) flip them. Then useing a large flat spade spatulla, start flipping them en masse. Once you are sure they are cooked, move them all into the centre in a pyramid like pile. Dump the sauce on the top of them. And using the flipper, start flipping them in on themselves to put the sauce on all of them evenly.

Remove for 5 minutes to cool and relax the meat..

Serve with celery and carrots, and bowls of ranch dressing as the dip for all three.

Those recipes ALL sound terrific!  I must invest in a BBQ this year.  Storage and theft are both problems but maybe I could anchor it to a tree or something.  There's so much good stuff I'm missing without one.

Are you on ground floor kitten? What about the small portable sized bbq only the better ones...

Im seaching, post in a bit.

I bought a good one from Costco last year, not one of those super cheap ones:

They come out once a year and are like 60 bucks. Superstore has them as well I believe. I would beware of Ukranian Tire for bbq's.

Home Depot has some good small portable weber ones, great for 1-3 people:

I like this one.   I don't mean I can afford it, but I like it!

Hi hi! Back for a bit.

Ooooh. That chicken wings recipe sound awesome! I'm in the mood for chicken wings now. Thanks, Russ.

kitten, if you have a broiler, it works almost the same as a BBQ. If I want to BBQ and it's winter, I just pop them under the broiler. I have an indoor grill but hate the work of cleaning it up. The broiler works just fine.

I have one, but it's not the same as being outside on a sunny day smelling the food cooking.

I have a big four burner stainless one with a burner on the side. supposed to last forever cause its stainless right? lol, wrong the other supporting stuff goes that isnt supported by the warranty.

Just buy the cheaper ones from stupidstore or home depot. You can get a good one for about 600 that will last for four - five years at least if not more. A hell of a lot cheaper than around 3k. Believe me on that one.

True enough, kitten. I love the ones that come with charcoal. I know, messy, messy but there's something to be said about cooking on charcoals.

I've got a great recipes for wings too. I just add soy sauce (light) and honey. Easy and has an Asian flavor to it.

Speaking about wings, have you guys tried the wings at Earls? Awesome stuff. Cheap wing nights on Wednesdays.

I was thinking even cheaper, like the ones at Zellers.  Or looking for a good used one in the paper.
Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped.  They have not forgotten.

Russ

Hmm, I would be careful of a used one. The ones at zellers are cheap, but if you do clean them regularly they will last a long time.

Wait until costco has a sale on them, they are pretty good there for pricing.

I agree lise. I did get an older one, so it did have non stainless parts in it. The newer ones dont have the same problems Im told. Im just bitter lol.

I will fix this one up again when its warmer out, then once this one goes again I will be buying a new stainless one agian.

Really lise? With Soya sauce? Mmmm, Ill have to try that.

I sometimes put the wings into ziplock baggies so the sauce and chicken cant go anywhere and put in teriyaki sauce and my own supply of mulched garlic... Season for a day then cook. Super tender and teriyakied.

Tons and tons of good recipe's for chicken wings.. the only problem is that the cost of the wings has gone up 200% in the last 6 years or so.

I usually go to the local bars for wings... I avoid earls as the food there doesnt impress me that much. That being said I love the burgers at Red Robins for some reason.
Mercy to the Guilty is Torture to the Victims

Lise

Yeah, tell me about it! Prices for not only poultry but salmon as well. My husband seems to think that in winter, things slow down a bit so less production, more cost. Who knows.

It's a bit cheaper at the Crystal Mall for chicken wings but I'm a bit hesistant about buying raw chicken there.

I love the burgers at RR. Awesome. What's your favorite, Russ? Mine's gotta be the Honey Mustard. Hmmm.
