I'm not that far in the process I guess. Sounds like something for July and early August before leaving though. :)

some classes do have a bunch of urban planning books I can read but I probably can only find them on amazon or my local community college. Out of luck at my public library since I learned its not for 'higher' learning. lol

SD if you are entering as a freshman don't you need to fulfill general requirement classes (or prerequisite courses) in the first and second years (as required here in the US system)?

Sportsdude

yeah but I take one or two classes on geography. I had to declare a major in applying.

maybe the Canadian system is different but here in the states you will need to fullfill general requirement classes, which have nothing to do with the major....if you haven't already I suggest you request the curriculum for your major from the university you are planning to attend.

They are smelling scrumpdelish Kitten.

SD....what do you mean it's too early in the process !  Are you not starting school in September ?

Some books that you'll need may require ordering......waiting until the middle of August is plain goofy.  Waiting until you have to pay twice the price is even more goofy.

Registration for classes hasn't begun yet.

The more you get done now, SD, the less you have to worry about at the last minute.  You'll have enough to do getting settled in at college, without trying to take care of all the things you postponed.

Okay on the admissions form it told me to put down a major I would plan on studying. I put down Geography-Urban Growth Stream. (There's three forms of geography major mine is the urban planning route)

When I got my acceptance letter it said "you will start in September and be majoring in Geography-Urban Growth".

So I was told to declare in the admission process. While the first year is generally all other classes I'm suppose to take some Geography classes.

Look similar to a US college........these are core courses for the major.  I bet you will need to take English, a foreign language, Humanities, physical sciences, math, etc. to graduate.

49er!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  'nuf said.  ;)

Sportsdude

probably. Sounds like fun to me anyway. I miss school. Plus no more American History either. I'll soak the Canadian stuff up like a sponge. And no more american government classes I've taken 5 times.
