Hello!

ok, who is complaining about rain in November in the Lower Mainland? That would be like moving to the sun and complaining it is a tad hot!

sports, you think Florida beaches are bad, check out the ones around LA. They probably were nice at one time...before the Biohazard signs. lol!

Not much up this weekend. My sis wants to show off her newly finished basement. She got a movie sized TV and wired it all with surroundsound, etc, bar, bathroom and spare bedroom. I am going over to eat supper tonight and enjoy some beers in the new rec room. Maybe watch a movie? Tomorrow I am not sure what is up yet. Looking for some kind of adventure!

Wow! They are big in Vancouver. I like some of their older stuff like Highway to Hell.

LOL! yes, but it was very much a pop version. Sounded like Mariah or someone.

Give me Bing Crosby and Perry Como any day for Christmas music!!!

Maybe I don't watch enough TV? But I think I missed out on all the goosebump moments. I can't see much changing for Canada with Obama in power or not. Hopefully things change for the better for the world.

To me, he is just another politician.

I am not offended by actual Christmas. The commercialism of it all is pathetic though.

I went to the store yesterday and I heard Home for the Holidays, and it stuck in my head, and Christmas is still 2 months away!!

Guess I was thrown off? I have nothing against Christmas and decorating. I just like it in December. November is too early, and by the time Christmas rolls around, I am sick of it.

  I prefer XXX-Mas!!

G'morn.

It is Nov.4 and I am already sick of seeing Christmas crap all over the stores. It is always early, but it seems really early this year?

My local grocery store had Christmas music playing. Please, oh please can we at least wait until December!

I missed it all. I was watching Mean Streets. Old DeNiro movie.

Good for Obama...I think? Why would he want that job?

It has been about 6 weeks or so of unemployment.  And because he's in the union, he can't go looking for another job outside of the union.

Couldn't he quit the union job, then find another? 6 weeks is hard to call I guess? Is there any word of work starting up soon for him?

Maybe it is just me, but I would't sit around waiting for the union to take care of me. 6 weeks isn't too bad though. 6 months may be another story.

Hey Van.

He's taking this loss really hard....I've already given him my two cents on what to do.  There's only so much he would listen about but I know where you're heading and agree with you.
Its a tough call for you both. Best of luck with everything.

Sorry to hear about the unemployment pl.

[FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffff40"]Yeah Michel some of the under 35 are not the brightest. I know a guy who quit a job after 2 weeks just before the economy crashed because 'it was beneath him' and now of course he's unemployed. goofy

Kids haven't had it tough, never have had to do that job that was 'beneath them', they've got a daddy will save
me attitude.

Bull............I know of many in their twenties holding down jobs and raising families.

SD, You need to find a real job and be out in the workforce and see how the rest of the world lives

I agree. I also know a lot of people in their 20s (some are even family members), that are not trying to 'have it all' overnight too.

Wonderful, Van.  Have a great time!  I'm sure you'll have some crazy stories to tell..was it a teacher marrying a biker?  Let me know if you happen upon Mr LM's long-lost Uncle Dean.  MIA, presumed alive and last seen in Red Deer...

haha! I will let you know.

Yes it is the teacher and biker wedding. I don't know too many people in Red Deer. Good chance to get a hotel with a nice pool though!
