G'morning Michel.

  I don't think it's earlier than normal.  Usually as soon as Hallowe'en is done....it's Fa-La La-La-La time.

I've been Christmas crafting the last few weeks, so I'm already into it.  The way I look at it, is I'd rather have it early, than not recognized at all.

Well, I miss the days, when buisnesses decked themselves to the nines.  It was a big thing when I was a kid.... to go and see the Eatons window display and the Woodwards toyland.  Christmas was one of the few things that people seemed to immerse themselves in.  Then....it started being 'offensive' to some.......don't ask me how one could be offended by it.....but that seemed to start the beginning of the end.

Guess I was thrown off? I have nothing against Christmas and decorating. I just like it in December. November is too early, and by the time Christmas rolls around, I am sick of it.

  I prefer XXX-Mas!!

Well....I don't know what their problem is....or whose problem it is.  All I know is, for a couple years there, you didn't hear a carol in the malls....you'd be hard pressed to even recognize it was Christmas by the lack of decoration....and nary a Christmas greeting was to be heard.

I am not offended by actual Christmas. The commercialism of it all is pathetic though.

I went to the store yesterday and I heard Home for the Holidays, and it stuck in my head, and Christmas is still 2 months away!!

Nothing wrong with your ability to grasp the true meaning of Christmas.

The only thing I don't like to see are adverts of "Christmas in July!" sales. Other than that, I don't mind Christmas tunes, displays and such in November.   I would love to decorate my home right now with Christmas stuff but I think I'll wait until Dec 1!!

Oh, I remember Eaton's and Woodward's holiday displays.  I remember the trains and the bowing Santa's....I was always in awe.

  Morning everyone!

Thanks Lise.  It sure is getting colder in the morning.
