I spent the majority of the day digging to locate the pipes in the septic field.  We had the roto-rooter camera thing out today.  Just the beginning...$350 for that yet we are none the wiser. (this after they said the camera would be useless until the pipes are flushed first).  Next step was to locate all the end-caps on the pipes and flush the lines...$950 (plus GST)....or another $350 if we dig ourselves.  So I dug. All day.  

Mind you....these prices are cheap if we discover that the field has NOT failed...but only blocked.  The possibility is, that all this may be for naught...but what can ya do.

  Now wasn't that an interesting story ?

So...Sawdust comes home from work, and tells me of his phone conversation that took place after the guy was here this morn...and after I dug 63 thousand tons of earth...(not really...but it feels like it)....and apparently the guy tells Sawdust to not bother with the digging, they were going to try something else.

  Things are still moving....but very slowly.  We have a pump hooked up that is helping things along.  The washer is the worst enemy right now, as it dumps a large volume of water in a very short time.  I'm still a city girl when it comes to these issues.

  You know....the worst thing about charges like that, is the person doing it, seems to have this smug attitude like they are taking some kind of  pleasure in sticking it to you.  What's with that ?
