The wind turbine looks like that UGLY rusting peace monument on I-5.  I can't even remember which state it's in.  Oregon?

That's the one!  Is it sending you secret brain messages?

Quaker Quick Grits for breakfast- with butter and blueberries.
My friend gave me this can of Grits (bought it in the US) and gave it to me as a joke.  I could totally get into Southern food....but who the heck has time to make gravy, biscuits and fry sausage in the morning?  All I can do is make coffee and eat 2minute Grits from the micro!

Good morning Fellow DS'ers! Nectar of the Gods sounds good as well! Im joining You.

As for wind/solar etc power.. I discovered a new site that seems to be getting more and more info.

  [A href="http://www.gasstinks.com"]www.gasstinks.com[/A]

I was actually seriously looking into Solar heating for my hotwater, hot water heating, and hot tub heating. Supposed to reduce your yearly costs for this by up to 50%.

I also was looking at solar power, where whatever we dont use, you sell back to the power company on the grid. Right now it would cost about 50k to install.. but theres a company that now makes much more durable solar cells, at like 1.25 a watt, where the current ones are almost 7 a watt. [A href="http://www.nanosolar.com/index.html"]http://www.nanosolar.com/index.html[/A]

Its backlogged, so in about a year when it gets its bigger factory made it should get cheaper. At that point it would cost about 8-9k to install a full solar system...

Is it viable in BC ? Not too much sun.
A website I found from BC states that we get 6% less overall sunlight than florida. Or at least enough light to use solar.

Solar hot water is a growing industry around the world and not just in sunny, tropical climates. Japan and Germany are currently world leaders in solar markets, yet our BC climate shows greater solar potential than both Tokyo and Berlin. In fact, the solar potential in Vancouver is only slightly less than that of Miami, Florida. Miami has greater consistency of solar potential from month to month, however taken across a whole year, Vancouver's annual daily average solar energy production is only 8% less.

I just noticed in my cut and paste it says 8% lol.

I think thats key. Its not the sunlight but the UV.

I had some instant noodles for breakfast.

I haven't decided what to have for lunch yet.  Probably a sandwich.
