Morning!  Slush everywhere, but it's SUNNY and WARM.

Heckyl and Jeckyl nixxed my plan to have spag & meatblubs tonight because it's CNY.  Funny, because they usually complain that they eat too much Chinese (once a week?  depending on what's going on with the extended fam).  *sigh*  Guess I can nuke some salmon and tofu and add an Asian-type sauce.

Good morning LM.  What a beautiful sunny day.

Watched Chris Rock's comedy videos last night.  boy oh boy was he hilarious.

Lil Me

Sounds like fun times with Chris Rock.

Wearing capris pants (aka flood pants) to navigate the rivers of slush.

Spinach and brown rice for lunch.
Fried some spinach with cumin seeds, ginger and a sliced onion.

Was that lunch part of your detox program, LM?

  Afternoon everyone.

What a busy day for me.  I finally get a chance to breathe a bit.  .... ok, I'm good now. :)

I had a special lunch today.  Mom made traditional bamboo wrapped sticky rice thingee with pork and lentils?  YUMMEEEE!!!!!!!

Lil Me

That lunch sounds soooo good.

My spinach wasn't specifically part of the detox program, but it was in the list of allowable foods.

Ended up getting Hon's take-out for CNY.

I think I hurt my back a bit shoveling the snow. Hmm..... it snowed this morning but turned to slush due to the rain. I shoveled the wet snow off our driveway just in case it turns to ice tonight. Kinda weird day. Snow, rain, sun, snow, rain, sun.

Have survived another threat at UBC. Some fracken idiots thought it would be funny to email a 'threat' to the university. When I arrived at work on Weds morning, I saw an email that was sent out to the staff the night before telling staff members that if they don't want to come to work then they can stay at home. I was like, 'er... isn't that a bit late? I'm already here and I just saw this email? WTH?'

So for the entire day, we were watching out for weirdoes like you won't believe. Anyone was a tad jumpy to say the very least. Here's hoping next week will be relatively normal.

CNY celebration tonight with family. I didn't tackle the crab dish like I did pervious years. Too much on the dinner menu so I ended up with big ass prawns, noodles (for long life), chicken with coriander and roast chicken for hubby. Took me two hours but at least it's done for the evening.

Looking forward to celebrating with friends this coming Saturday. I don't get to cook for a change!

Yummy!!!  Can't believe you cooked for 2 hours on a weeknight.  YOU CRAZY.

Hiya Lil Me. Ja. I can't believe it too. All that stupid preparation took like 1 hour to do. Y'know with Chinese cooking, you have to cut and chop etc. etc. etc. Takes forever.

  How did you celebrate CNY?

Went downtown for a couple of meetings.  Managed to extract overdue payment from a client.  Got a cheque out of them without breaking any kneecaps!  Ran the cheque to the bank, then drove to Surrey to pick up Heckyl's passport.  *sigh*  It's been quite a day.

Due to the &$^&^$*^$* cleanse I'm on, can't drink for a week.  :(

Whats with teh passports lil me? You fleeing the country?

Lil Me

RUSS!!!! Hey Dude.  Yes, I am fleeing the country, but just for a few weeks.  Mr LM returns from his latest secret ops directive next week.  We're flying to Houston on airmiles, going to NASA, then travelling on to Belize.

I'm starting to pack up a lot of our belongings into boxes, as our place is being painted whilst we're away.
