My day has been hell so far.
A fool's paradise is better than none.

Details, brother?
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

Michel

 Oh I see it's [span style="font-style: italic; text-decoration: underline;"]HER[/span] wedding. I am all confused.

You'll be preety I'm sure, try not to be [span style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;"]too[/span] preety, the bride should be the preetiest (it will be hard for you to be second, I know eheh

We went near Jericho beach for the fireworks only (I tought maybe I could have been on the roof of my office yeterday, but I was not sure if an alarm wouldn't sound if I get there (roof I mean). Anyway, next year, if there's no alam for the roof terrace, I'll get there, I will just inform me before. We could see both fireworks, but hey that's far !

Otherwise, no Canada day for us, except a can of beer pitched from a car's window in front of me that nealy hit my car. We've been to Minnekahada regional park in Coquitlam, very preety hiking, lots of birds, took full of pics, wanted to take a pic of 2 cranes but I retreat fastly when I saw a fresh bear footprint in the mud when I tried to get nearer of the birds.

For the rest of the long weekend, I try to prepare the trip for Alaska, lots of readings on line among other things.

What has happened, Gopher?
Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped.  They have not forgotten.

 In three hours:

 1) A painter and decorator (who arrived early) followed closely by the arrival of:

 2) A refugee organisation - who left the place looking like a bombsite and departed only five minutes before the arrival of:

 3) Alcoholics Anonymous

 4) A plethora of red tape  and insistent ringing of the telephone - and all before 12, plus the news that I shall also have to go in in the evening so that a commemorative plaque can be fitted to the outside of the building (and then veiled), prior to its being unveiled by the mayor later in the week.

Plus it's rained non-stop and I've got  tendinitis

Awwww....I'm sorry to hear that...
Here, have some chicken soup, my dear and I hope that you get better soon and have less stress...

Oh, no!  That is horrible, Gopher.  Do you absolutely have to go back in the evening?  Can't someone else do it?

Sounds like a hell of a day already!

Sorry for your stress, Gophie.

Fear not, furry invisible energy angels are en route as we speak.

My hands are outstretched to receive them.

Somehow I think they are taking advantage of your good nature, Gopher.

Somehow I know you are right.
