Thank you.  My cat sleeps under the bed to protect me.

Good morning Kitten, I hope that your awakening found you intact.

It did, but I don't enjoy getting up before the crack of dawn again.  Work once again is interfering with my leisure.  And how does your day progress?

[Gopher]

Not bad at all, I'm slowly winding down after all the animadversions of the last couple of weeks. I may even be in touching distance of sanity in a day or so!

[kitten]

You do believe in reaching for the loftiest goals, don't you?

[Gopher]

I certainly do, however I'm only average height so it takes a lot of effort.  

[kitten]

 I always thought sanity was overrated anyway.  Perhaps a mild sort of madness would be enough to sustain you in this strange world.

[Gopher]

I always thought it would be, however recent events have proved me wrong.

[kitten]

Sometimes one has to be seriously deranged in order to cope with irrational people.

[Gopher]

I always wondered just what your secret was.

[kitten]

It has always served me well in the past.

[Gopher]

Wish I had a servant like that.

[kitten]

I'm your's to command.

I'm not too good at giving orders and far worse at taking them.  However, apart from vacuuming, dusting, laundry and preparing gourmet meals, there's hardly anything  for a servant to do.
