What is the Ebony Room? In the words of Raymond's mom... "Is it pornography?"

The Ebony Room is the evening version of "What's For Lunch".  People gather in the virtual lounge to chat in the evening over a virtual drink or two.

Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.

I don't see any threads like this here on DS, with its "controlled" environment. The only threads you could really call successful, as i said earlier, are the stupid but ubiquitous "what's for lunch/dinner" thread common to so many forums without inspiration, and a "The ebony room" thread where people who feel they have common African ancestry and who aren't really interested in anything else flock together, happy to find themselves in familiar terrain.

Hi, P.C.!  I couldn't stop laughing about that one.  Made the evening shift go smoothly.  Now, about that glass of wine, make it a spritzer, if you please.  African wine, if you have it.   LOL!

Me too Kitten....LOL.  It just goes to show you, that people simply let the criticism fly, before they know what they're criticising.

A Spritzer it is.  (mind you that picture that Lise posted looks spectacular !!!!)

How was your day???.....that sunshine was SO lovely, I hope you got the chance to enjoy it a little.

Mmmmmmmm.

Who's watching the Hockey Game? (Raises hand) I bet CK is either at the game or at some pub in downtown calgary watching it. OLN doesn't have announcers for the game so its being simulcasted from the CBC. And all I can say is WOW you guys sure know how to broadcast a hockey game.

P.C.

Well sportsdude....it IS on the TV, but I can't say I'm watching it.

What?! Not watching a hockey Game?! That goes against the canadian code of ethics.

P.C.

LOL, sportsdude....not MY code of ethics.  I'd rather watch paint dry.  I LOVE a game 'live', but TV hockey annoys me to smitherines. (it's the commentators I think)   The only sport I enjoy on TV, is BASEBALL.

Baseball? You'd fit well down here. Its baseball mad. Yeah I will agree on baseball and to an extent golf which truely the best sport to watch on tv.  But not as good as watching a scrabble tournament on espn2 or a darts throwing competition.  Dad watches golf on sundays while I like the auto racing both end up falling asleep.

P.C.

Yea....I like watching golf too.....but I have to be in complete 'kick back stage (I'd rather PLAY)

Car racing...*snore* or any other sport where they go round in circles...*yawn*....lol.

well looks like the games over the ducks just scored so its 4-2 ducks half way thru the third. CK will not be in a good mood tomorrow.

whats wrong with going around in circles? Technically Nascar is the only one that does that but f1, champ car, MotoGp (super bikes) and rally racing don't go in circles. But my favourite type of racing is the bicycle racing.

Can't beat the Tour de France. Its on in the morning when you get up and its not really a race more of a history lesson and free tour guide of France. That and curling.
