Oh, never!!  I'll just be another humble acolyte.  Only a cat would qualify for such an exalted position.

But you'd still wear robes, of course. What colour?

kitten

Purple, for its regal association.

kitten

This has been fun, but I must go now.  Work once again rears its ugly head.

Gopher

It's like the hydra, isn't it?

kitten

Right.  Finish one shift and nine more appear to take its place.

Gopher

Started youir Christmas shopping yet?

kitten

I don't do that sort of thing.  I send money to my relatives to choose what they want.  It is one of those gifts that seem to please everyone.  No one has tried to return their gifts.  I do shop for really nice cards that reflect their personalities.  Have you started yet?

Gopher

Yep, written one card and bought five presents - the tip of the iceberg, I'm afraid.

kitten

The only penalty for having a multitude of friends.  Worth it, though.

Only four are to friends, the rest are to relatives (children taking the most).

kitten

Children usually do.

Gopher

I did, that's for sure.

kitten

I didn't necessarily want what I was given, but it was utilitarian.

Gopher

I didn't either, but it was always nice to unwrap things - and even better, to spend days beforehand feeling, smelling and shaking the packages in order to guess what was in them (I still do this).
