I'm sorry to hear that Lise.  I'm sure you're just as good for home cooking.  Your dip you made the other time when we went to raerae's party was delicious.

I wish that my mom was a real mom, not just a superficial mom.  Any mom could cook.  Feeding me isn't enough.  But oh well, nothing can change her.

my mom drives me crazy. It runs in the family I guess because nobody can stand living with my grandma in florida for more then a week. lol

Home cooking? My mom knows a few recipies, plus she can read the directions from the side of a box. It's not worth a drive across the continent for.

SD - congee is soooooooooooooooo good but bad if you're diabetic. If you've never tried it before, I highly recommend it especially on cold days.

Rice congee is a type of [A title=Rice href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice"]rice[/A] [A title=Porridge href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porridge"]porridge[/A] that is eaten in many [A title=Asia href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia"]Asian[/A] countries. The word congee derives from the [A title="Tamil language" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamil_language"]Tamil[/A] word kanji.

Congee can be made in a pot, or in a [A title="Rice cooker" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_cooker"]rice cooker[/A]. Some rice cookers even have a "congee" setting, allowing the user to cook their breakfast congee overnight
