Nice choice of car, LM.  What color is it?  Are you not planning to keep it for a long period of time?

I just got back from swimming in our neighbor's pool.  I feel so relaxed.  I could nap now.  :)

Well, the storage room is kinda fixed.  He had a few minor things to do that would take another week but we said "No way!  I want to be home."  (I could only take so many days at mom's) So, landlord agreed to complete it when we move out some time next year.

Time for a walk to pick up some groceries.  We have nothing in the fridge. :(  We're thinking of ordering pizza tonight.

Lil Me

Hey purelife!  Glad to hear you're almost back to normal at home.

Swimming must have been great.  What a perfect night for it.

My car is red.  I don't think I'll be keeping it much past the summer.  But...it was a great deal, it gives me transportation for now while we figure out what to do with the other car-- which is pretty much fracked.

Which brings me to an interesting ethical dilema.  I don't lie to people.  But I'm tempted...really tempted...to patch up my original car and sell it.  Without lying.  I have service records and receipts up the ying-yang which document the amount of work which has gone into this car.  I KNOW there is design flaw, inherent to most Subarus, which will never be fixed.  That being said, most everything else is in great shape...and, um, maybe there are people out there who don't mind replacing the head gaskets every 70,000km but that person ain't me.  I suspect the heads may also be cracked/warped.

So...would I be a bad person if I withheld this information to the buyer?

I won't lie...but if they don't ask, I won't volunteer it.

Heya purelife. Swimming is excellent for you. I swam like crazy during pregnancy. Easy on the back and so forth.

LM. Well..... you wouldn't be lying technically if you worded it differently. You know, like patching up could mean 'almost like new' or 'fresh new look'. I mean, c'mon.... people do it all the time in order to sell something.

Well good morning Miss Lise.  The beginnings of another beautiful day in paradise.

Tough question Lil Me.  I know for certain I could never be a salesman. I'm not sure about the ethical dilemma...but I'd look into the possibility of legal backlash.  As far as I know, car purchases done off the lot are considered 'As Is'.  Not sure though.

Good morning to you too, Lady PC. And yes, it looks to be a magnificient day today! Why I'm still at work is a mystery to me.......

Oh, I like that wording.... "AS IS." Yay, you can't go wrong with that. Speaking of buying and selling cars, I couldn't do both. Like I need a MAN (sorry, gals) to be with me when I go purchase one. Guess I just need a male presence beside me when purchasing something big.

Lise...that reminds of an old joke.

Two old fellows met for tea to talk about old times...one telling the story of his new life at the seniors  residence.  The other old fellow says...Are there any women there ?  Well sure, he answers.  So, are you any luckier getting a little on the side ?  Are you kidding ? he says.  It's been so long since I got any, I didn't even know they moved it.  [img height=20 src="http://www.pogo.com/images/chat/biglaugh.gif" width=20 border=0]

You should sue Michel...because as far as I know, honey doesn't even have nuts.

Maybe you could say that the car is in mint driving condition, Lil Me?  That way, the person buying the car will know that there are going to be some hefty repairs.  There are some people out there who are really mechanically-inclined or know cheap mechanics to fix any car trouble who won't mind buying a car that constantly needs repairs.

I watched Seven Pounds last night.  What an AWESOME movie.  I highly recommend this.  I'm going to watch it again because I didn't pay too much attention in the beginning.

Funny joke there, PC.

Boy, what a change yesterday. Much, much cooler. I like the cool weather right now. Not too hot, not too cold either. Lunch today is on UBC. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us.
