Thanks PC. That's VERY helpful. I'm surprised that Home Depot didn't have a variety of herbs. I'll have to check elsewhere.

It's still a little early yet for herbs....maybe another few weeks at least.[/DIV]

For a self proclaimed geography buff....you're not so good at it. I wonder if you could explain why I drive south for half an hour before I come upon the Welcome to Nanaimo sign. You'd think if I was IN Nanaimo, the sign would be somewhere north of me. Hmmmmm?

A lot of herbs are finnicky to start from seed.....and if you're going to do that, I would recommend starting immediately. (if not now.....2 weeks ago...lol) You have to put them in plastic bags to simulate a little greenhouse....the thin them...water them from underneath........Keep them in the dark for a period of time......I wouldn't bother with seeds myself.

You know it's funny, I always get a little chuckle when the news does the weather on Vancouver Island. They act like the whole island combined is the size of a postage stamp.
