You meant you have never harboured a secret desire to go to Pemberton?  I went, and I still almost remember that it made absolutely no impression on me except fot the thought that I would have to drive back along that horrible highway.

There isn't all that much to go around.  *After the politicians get all their perks*

well if Harpie can spend 50 billion or so on military toys, Canada's got the money. Even the US has an urban transit plan/budget. Canada does not.

Canada doesn't because of priorities.  There is suddenly money for the military, but there isn't that much for transportation.  The money gets shifted around according to the wishes of the party in power, and right now it's about the military, thanks primarily to a certain G. Bush.

This is turning into a strange "Lunch" thread.  Don't you think a separate topic should be developed for this discussion?

Back to lunch.  I had an excellent ham and jalapeno Havarti  cheese sanny on Asiago and jalapeno bread.  Yummy to the max!

True and Martin wasn't much better either. He killed the Windsor-Quebec high speed rail project.
When Harris took over in Ontario he basically killed all funding for public transportation, Toronto was building a new subway line and he stopped it. Before Harper went 'green' (lol) his environmental minister Baird killed the 1 billion dollar public transportation project for Ottawa and Gatineau region.

If the federal government had a plan like the rest of the world where the provinces and federal meet 50/50 on public transportation. Lines like Milenium would go all the way to UBC instead of stopping half way at Artibus sector and having fast buses take people all the way to UBC. That's the most silliest idea I've ever heard. That's a giant headache waiting to happen. Any normal thinking person can see how silly that plan is going to be.

I had a hot doggy for lunch.  Naughty indulgence.  It was scrummy!!!

I like the smell of hot dogs, but after I bite into them I'm always disappointed.  Weird, eh?

Not weird at all.  I'm like that with hot spicy.  I love the smell.....to the point it almost makes me salivate......but I just can't do the hot and spicy.  My tastebuds betray me.

I like hot and spicy.  Maybe not as much heat as I used to, but reasonably hot.  I like sour too, like drinking straight lemon juice.

I enjoyed my sandwich so much at lunch that I had another one at supper.  It's all part of my balanced diet.  If  I can balance it on a piece or two of bread, then it is definitely balanced.

I love the flavours.....the taste.  I think it must be close to allergy like symptoms when I eat it though.  The roof of my mouth becomes raw, the skin inside my lips starts shredding......lol.  It's awful.  My thraot is like I swallowed a wire brush.

I'm with the French when it comes to food.  They say, if you can't make it good.....make it spicy.

HAHAHAHAAA....I like this.  May I use it ?

It probably is the heat trying to tunnel directly into your brain from your mouth.  Of course you could be right and it is an allergy.  I like my explanation, though.
