Thanks for googling for me, dear. *bless* I'm sure it'll work out fine in the end. I'm just thankful I can still access DS. What will I do if the all the sockets go off in the household.... total break-down on my part. Hehe.

Trouble with growing up on my mom's food is that she uses a ton of flavors and spices. I'm not used to blandness. It's already hard to give up on certain items (like sugar) and now I have to go to bland. Ah well. I'm sure Lise Jr. will come to like spices when she's older as SD pointed out.

Do your boys enjoy everything you make for them, purelife?

Don't worry, Lise she'll like your cooking. Just takes time.

So how do you feel about being finally done?

Mixed feelings?

Very mixed tenkani, my friend.  I'm glad to be out of that atmosphere....but there are so many people that I'll miss.  If I get the job I hoping to get....I may still see many of them.

purelife, I quit, but I gave 2 weeks notice......to end on April 8th.....they are just not scheduling me after today.

Lise.....Mr.P.C. is VERY good at this stuff.  I'll get him to have a read when he gets home.  He may have some suggestions.

I make a lot of bland, simple food for them but when I do, they always enjoy eating them because I have them help me out during dinner time.  They love helping me cut the mushrooms (not with a real knife, but with a butter one) and they actually fight for it too.  Kinda cute. :))  They don't like anything spicey as I've tried to make curry once.  Whenever I make chilli, I keep it extremely mild because they wouldn't eat it if it was strong.

I think that it'll take time to get kids used to the spices that you like.

Lise

 Thank you, Ms. PC.

Yeah, I hear ya, purelife. I guess I shouldn't sweat over it. Just as long as she eats something.

Ooops. Gotta run. Thanks again, everyone! *gone in a flash of butterflies*[/DIV]

Oh, okay, I didn't know that you had quit, PC.  I'm happy for you that you have though.  I understand how much it took out of you to make that final decision.  I'm sure that your decision will turn out for the better.  :))  *bless* oh and *hugs*

  EDIT:  Byea Ms Lise.

Yep, just as long as she's eating and is healthy..that's what matters. :)

I was the perfect child, I ate everything. ;))))))))

My boys are easier to satisfy and feed when it comes to food than my b/f!  He doesn't eat certain things and he's not a health nut like I am and my boys are. :)))  I'd like him to just go to the fridge and grab that fruit and prepare that salad for himself, but he doesn't.  Ah well.

Whenever I make curry, it's only me who ends up eating curry.

Sportsdude

hmmmm, think you need to crack down on the junk food for him pl. He'll go nuts most likely for a week but after that he'll forget all about the chips.

I know what would work to get him to change. hehehe

My dad had a cat that had grown used to eating tuna from a can.

The vet said he needed to eat more dry food for his health, and some special diet wet food.

The vet said he would yowl for a few days but finally get hungry and eat what was put in front of him.

After 2 weeks of yowling my dad just gave him the goddamn tuna so he'd shut his yap.
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

Sportsdude

well I wasn't just talking about taking away junk food. ;)))))))))))))))
I was thinking of every red blooded male's nightmare scenario that always gets them to change their ways.

  That's a very heartwarming story tenkani.  [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/more/bigs/c008.gif" border=0]  [/DIV]

Well, at least he knows how to make eggs.  I buy simple stuff that he knows how to make.  ie sausages and bread and nutella, etc.    We actually rarely have chips in the house.  We've recently had crackers in the house all because I like them. :))  He usually just goes out and buy stuff.  He's getting better.  I taught him how to read labels off of food items to see how much sodium is in it.  He's gotta watch his salt intake.  :)))
