Something weird in the air yesterday.
Heckl got in trouble at school  for talking trash about someone's mother.
Jeckyl came home in a huff and destroyed his bedroom- turned out he had been threatened by some older kids in the school yard, and he was feeling worried.
Someone lost the key to the bike lock (and noone will admit to it), so MrLM sawed the cable off last night.
 *sighs*

Today is a much better day.

   I just can't picture it...I just can't.  I'm trying, but it's not working....lol.  Heckl ?

Anywhere near a full moon ?

*weird.  I just had a reply box with no Anti-Spam stopper space.[/DIV]

Heckyl is at the unfortunate age where he's testing his limits.
He had NO IDEA that what he said to his friend was horribly insulting.

Hence the phone call I received at work from the school principal.
And the long conversation that MrLM and I had with Heckyl afterwards.
*sighs*  At least he "gets it" now.

Maybe I should have raised tropical fish instead of human kids.

Aww Lil Me.

I think they start testing their limits at two...and I'm not sure exactly when they stop.

It's a tough stage during that stretch when they're neither a little kid any more and only on the cusps of teenagehood.  They are trying out new words before they are fully aware of their meaning.    That call from the principal still makes your stomach lurch exactly the same as it did when you were a kid.

Toughest of all, is how hard it is for parents....lol.  It's really really hard....and no damn instruction manual.

The affliction is everywhere and there's only one solution, the annihilation of the suburbs.

And this will change the natural processes of a developing mind, how ?

you're not getting the one liner.

But, in reality, our downfall is the suburbs. H&J sound like they're going to get 'marked' by the suburban kids. These kids never quit until you leave high school.

all in the name of sustainablity and a better future. Everyone will get their own bulldozer and will be able to liberate themselves from the 'little boxes'. Free at last, free at last.

I get it.  It just doesn't make any sense.

Suburban life and bullies never make any sense. I've yet to figure out why kids get marked in elementary school and then spend the rest of their secondary lives getting picked on.
