Lise, you deserve an award for being the first of us brave enough to post their real, everyday photo on this site.

Haha. Yeah, I wish I looked like that.

Lunch today was chicken rice and tofu with teriyaki sauce. I love having mom around!

Your mom is an EXCELLENT cook!  I loved her curry and that desert.  Mmmmm...yummy.  I miss your mum already!  :)

Russ

Mmmm, curry. You have me thinking about it for lunch now! What nationality type of curry?

I actually went to a Thai place yesterday that I have been going to for a while. BEST Thai place I have been to. The cook there used to cook for the king of thailand. The place is also the only place in canada that meets certain thai decoration standards.

I highly recommend this place. In Vancouver, Canada.

Wow, that Thai place isn't too expensive.  SWEET!  I find that Thai restaurants are so damn expensive, take the Thai place at Metrotown.  Good food, but so expensive.  I've added your link to my favorites so that when I'm around Cambie and feel like Thai, I'll go.

  THANKS!

Gopher

I had curry today, too.

Thanks for the recommendation re Arroy-D. I'll check 'em out next time I do a Capers run (16 & Cambie). Here's another great place in that genereal area, Crave at 24 & Main.

There's a great Thai place by my house but I've never been there or had the courage to go in there. Nobody wants to eat with me so I go alone by myself.

Why not go there and flirt with the waitress, and enjoy a good meal at the same time?  If she is married to the chef, though, better forget it!

I had this mediterranean food for lunch.  Grilled chicken, with some lamb, cous cous and hummus with pita bread.  OMG, I'm stuffed and it was just so deliciously healthy abd yummy.  Yummy hummus.....

LOL!! Thats what I'm going to do when I go to my favourite vietnamese place. Going to ask the waitress how do you use chopsticks. cheeky but hey its better then me just staring out in space telling myself what a loser I am for eating alone. lol.

The way to do it is to have her stand behind your shoulder and lean over you and guide your hand with the chopsticks.  Get her to repeat it a few times to be sure you get it right.

OMG, the old "lean over, let me show you my cleveage" trick.  LOL

kitten

You think that's too obvious?
