Good!  That's settled.  Now how is your day so far?  Mine is totally relaxing and carefree.

No presents then?

  Mine has been ultra-hectic and the holiday already seems light years away.

Once one returns to work holidays seem more like a fantasy than an actuality.  It's back to dreaming about the next one.  Mine has already started due to pending surgery on Wednesday.  I know it hasn't been that long since the last one, but it seems like an eternity.

Yes, it does seem like quite a long time.

  I still have 5 days to take off before the end of the year - at present I'm deliberating about whether adding them on to the Christmas allocation or taking off three or four beforehand (say in October).

  In the meantime, it starts to get dark earlier and earlier, doesn't it?

It all depends on how you feel.  I would take them beforehand just to give myself a break in between, but I'm sure a lot of people would prefer a longer Christmas holiday.

Trouble is if you take them early there's a long time to wait until the weather starts to improve in the next year.

Have you any holiday plans for this year, kitten?

Just working, that's all.  I don't get holidays in my job.

Oh what a tragedy, everyone should have at least one each year. I truly am very sorry to hear it.

I'm still lucky to have employment at my age.  At least there's no mandatory retirement.

Holidays or no holidays, you're very much on the ball today - what's the secret?

It's the first day of a two-week holiday and I feel free.  FREE!!!

  WHAT A WEEK I had today !!!!   Work was a nightmare.  I think it's time for everyone to go home....lol.  The holidays are OVER.  Smokin busy today, and if I didn't know better, I'd say there is a full moon pending.
