Residents in the Lower Mainland can look forward to a bit of relief -- officials said conditions on the south coast should cool slightly Friday, as ocean breezes push the Interior winds back where they came from. [/p]  However, they predict communities in Whistler right east to Creston, and up to Fort St. John will continue to swelter for several more days.[/p][a href="vny!://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20070712/BC_heat_wave_070712/20070712?hub=TopStories"]vny!://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20070712/BC_heat_wave_070712/20070712?hub=TopStories[/a]

P.C.

We don't have a/c in the Ebony Lounge.  We don't need a/c in the Ebony Lounge.  We have the natural a/c.....big trees.....lol.

  May I get you something?

One tall glass of ice water for you......(plus 2 aspirin) [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/liebe/d038.gif" border=0]

We really don't need a/c here.  There are 2 skylights that open and the door off the lounge to outdoors.  A perfect breeze (when there is one....lol) works just fine.

Although I think we'd die if we didn't have it here.

Hey Kitten....sounds like you had a rough day at work. *cry*

I'm telling you....sometimes those stories make me blow-up !!!!!

We're done for today....we didn't even get to the back of the house...but there is a thunder and lightning storm brewing.  The hardest part was erecting the scaffolding.  It will be more difficult tomorrow as we won't have the balcony to assist.  It's not as bad up there as I thought, although I couldn't look down.

The worst part of the whole day was the new neighbours had the loggers in.  I didn't know it was going to be today...I had planned to vacate the neighbourhood as it makes me cry to hear those big beautiful trees come down.  So a few tears were shed today.

I just came in and washed the daily grime off and put some nice smelly lotions on and I feel ok....and my dear hubby just poured me  a cocktail.

Today was very sad.  She didn't know where she was.  Each time I thought she had it, she would drift off again into fantasy.  Sometimes I HATE this job!

You got the scaffolding up already?  Good job, P.C. and Sawdust!  That is something I just couldn't force myself to do....getting up that high off the ground.  And yet I love airplanes.  Being surrounded by metal gives me a false sense of security.  lol

Has the storm arrived yet?  Those neighbours are rotten people to tear down those beautiful old trees.  There should be a special punishment for them.  I'm sorry you didn't have a chance to get away before they did that.

Bless Mr. Sawdust for taking such good care of you.

No storm yet Kitten.....but it's dark and heavy out there.  Very warm and muggy.

I will absolutely bless Sawdust. (and you too for all you do) He actually got up there and painted today.  I think he's worse with hieghts than I am....and he's not big on painting either....lol....so he did well.  We had to untangle the wisteria that was growing all up the roof line, which was hard, because  I didn't want to wreck it.

Rats....gotta run for a bit, but be back shortly.  Hope you're around.

You both are wonderful for all you accomplish in spite of your fear of heights.  Congratulations for being so brave.  I'll be back in a while.  I think it's time to eat now.
