lol...I think you're right Michel.

I guess what bugs me, is that their charges don't seem to be reflective of their actual cost.  What I mean is....if I had not called, they would have continued to charge me what they have been charging, while a new customer would or could be paying less for the same service.

Telus for phone and Shaw for hi-speed/cable.

A couple of years ago, I used to have Telus for phone and internet.  I kept paying about $40 a month for the internet for several months.  I saw several deals through Telus for new customers for their hi-speed.  So, I called Telus and asked them for a lower rate (the one they are offering new customers).  Well, it never hurt to ask because they gave me the lower rate (I think it was $22 something/month) for about 6 months.  I've asked for the lower rate twice and they have given it to me.  I am also a long-term customer who have made payments on time, every month.

Even though the discounted rate applied for a few months, I still saved a lot of money.  I was happy that Telus agreed with me.

Hey All,

PL did you know theres a penguin in your avatar?

Anyhoo, we are now in an all in one bundle with shaw, and we arent affraid to call and say why are we not getting the lowest price when we saw this offered to new customers. As for my parents on the island they use shaw for their internet adn cable.. but  not phone cause shaw isnt offered there yet.
