Question to SD: Don't you have to be MARRIED in order to get in-laws??
Yes. I get along with both my parents-in-law. We didn't get along in the beginning due to cultural differences and the fact I stole mama's little boy. But now we're good, we understand each other and they've become my parents. I don't think we would have survived without their help raising our children.
True, so I'll go by the parents of the girls I know. They love me. I get along with everybody, when I'd go over to a girl's house when I was younger to hang out with my friends, the girls parents ended up thinking the world of me. Usually the parents liked me more then my actual friends.
But I just remember how my aunt treated my Oma and it was borderline criminal. 10 years ago, she locked Oma in a closet for 8hrs, god, you don't do that to Oma. I hate that woman (my aunt). She always belittled my grandparents with the way they talked and that they came from poverty. She'd make fun of them, wouldn't eat their food, called everyone stupid, called my grandparents idiots and she couldn't stay at their house when my aunt and uncle's family were visiting. Then it went political, she always hated the whole family's left wing view of the world. She's from a rich family in Iowa, we are working class german-hungarian immigrants.
