[/SPAN]The event will begin at 6:00am and will include FREE rides on the Coaster from 6:00am – 10:00am. [SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400"]At 10:00am Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan will be making a special presentation to PNE President and CEO Michael McDaniel, designating the Playland Wooden Roller Coaster as a site of special significance to the city. Heard on the radio this morning that people started lining up at 3am.  Crazy.

Who knew that the roller coaster debut was the same day as the Second Narrows Bridge collapse?  Weird.
My mom remembers the Second Narrows incident.  Came home from school and heard it on the radio.
