Other than Pajos in Richmond, can anyone recommend a good fish n chips place? I think purelife or Lil Me told me some place in Burnaby but I can't remember the name...

I just had the one from Londsale Quay and boy, I tell ya... good it ain't. The fish was ok but a bit small for the price you pay and the fries were just plain awful. Too salty overall.

Anyways, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I like Mr Pickwick's.  There's one on Denman (where Bud's Halibut&Chips used to be) and a smaller take-out location at 70th and Granville.

there is a Cockney Kings place in Burnaby as well... along that 'main' road that leads to the PNE.. I forget the name, but it's in the same area as the Safeway.

I've been to all these places, used to practically live at King's Fare, loved Pajo's, but this one's got 'em all beat:

Inspired by this thread, I've just decided to buy myself a chip fryer.

No, it's the same thing. As I want it especially for chips I called it a chip fryer.

That sounds like an interesting idea, Gophie.  But wouldn't it be kinda deadly to have your OWN chip fryer?  It would be sooo tempting to use it all the time!

Not really, I'm not desperately into chips - just now and then. Any ideas of other things I could fry? I know that some people eat deep-friend chocolate bars, but I've never quite fancied the idea.

Frybread!  Fried bannock.  Just like in the movie [a href="vny!://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120321/"]Smoke Signals[/a].
(wonderful film- everyone should see it)
