They're freaking huge they must be on steroids.
So weird that you can walk up to these giants and touch them and they don't move. strange.

Be careful!

Years ago there was a news story about a tour bus driver who was attacked by a killer rabbit that he decided to pet.  The rabbit caused some major nerve damage to the bus driver's arm, and he was forced to take time off work.  WCB (workers' compensation board) denied his claim because petting the rabbit wasn't part of his job description, and he needed to accept the consequences of the action...

maybe they're not jack rabbits like we have here

JJ

They are pet rabbits that people have let loose, or have dropped off.  You can find them all over the legislature building grounds in Victoria , UBC research forest in Maple Ridge and several other community parks.  The natural wild rabbits are small and brown.

P.C.

That's right JJ.  There are rabbits and there are hares.

  Hares are large.

  Rabbits are little.

And then there are domestic rabbits which can be any colour and any size.

I took a picture of one of them:

Then I've seen reddish/blackish big bunnies. They all look like pet bunnies. In fact when I first saw the bunny I was going to tell the main building somebody's pet rabbit is on the loose. I saw a huge black bunny by the bus stop.
