I was looking up trails on wiki and I came across the Trans Canada trail. Anybody know about this? They're going to connect the entire country through trails.
They've done over 60% of it, they finished all of PEI's trail for example.

Cape Cod has a similar trail and it is awesome. Goes up and down the cape great way to get around. We've got the Katy Trail here its mostly a gravel road but people love it.

I'm pretty sure we came across it on one of our many hikes but I'm not sure. What is it exactly? I can't tell from the website. (or maybe I'm just lazy)

they want to connect the entire country from the Arctic Ocean to Newfoundland by trails. Here's a map:

Hey, we have the Bay Trail here........municipalities have been building trail sections within their jurisdictions and one of these days all these sections are going to be connected around the SF Bay

You will run across sections of the Trans Canada Trail, as it's everywhere.  Most of the North Shore is connected via it (Baden Powell Trail from Horseshoe Bay to Deep Cove), the Port Moody shoreline trails, the PoCo trails along the Coq and Pitt Rivers, and out to the old rail tunnels near Kawkawa Lake in Hope.

Been on the TCT at Coal Harbour through to North Burnaby plus part of the Victoria TCT by Saanich. Quite nice for walking and riding bikes.  I understand there's a TCT in Nanaimo so that should be fun to do when you're not busy with school and work.

Also found a book; thought it would be at tctrail.ca, but no information there even though it says there's 5 guidebooks.  This book is out of print although I am sure one can find it in public libraries and searching Google:  Trans Canada Trail:  The British Columbia Route (2001) by Mussio Ventures Ltd.
