It starts of being cute.... 'pa pa pa pong'... then I don't get this. Is there some kinda meaning that I'm supposed to get?

For me, it's just a fun, cute, visually pleasing, and silly cartoon.  There may well be hidden meanings, cultural references, homages to epic poems,  tongue-in-cheek comments on contemporary politics...but if there are, I don't know what )
