The Silver Surfer was originally a bad guy. He was the point man for Galatus(spelling).

Hey ripper. Interesting. Did he become good after meeting the Fantastic Four?

Yes. He decided to rebel against Galctus to save the earth.

I agree with ripper on the fact that he used to be a bad guy. I have (had? Havent seen it in eons.. maybe I should look for it) the First silver surfer comic when he was introduced. I remember getting a whole stack from a garage sale when I was really young, and when I got older some collector went nuts and offer me 50 bucks at the time for it, when I refused he told me what it was. Im going with his prognosis, lol.

  I will probably see this one, as this is nostalgic for me

That first movie was one of the worst superhero movies I ever seen. At least Jessica Alba looked HAWT!
