LOL.  Yup, I think that guys talk just as much and they are more and more into themselves.

Sportsdude

only the cocky ones are but those are the ones girls are apparently drawn to, even if they know there full of it. At least around here thats the case.

Nope, not all cocky guys talk about themselves.  Heck, not many people know when to stop talking about themselves and start listening.

Sportsdude

yeah girls just want someone to listen, tell them it will be okay and such.

Yer too sweet, kingy.....lol [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/liebe/d038.gif" border=0]

The next problem is, that when women tell men their problems, men think they have to FIX the problem....when in fact, we just want them to act like kingy.  [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/liebe/d042.gif" border=0]

I suppose so Sportsdude.  But I think that women who need 'their mate' to fix their problems, could possibly be in a relationship prematurely.  You need to be at least capable of independence before that stage.

I'm thinking more about the mundane daily stuff, like telling your spouse about your woes at work, or the jerk on the bus etc.  To the woman, she's just venting.  As for the guy, he's getting frustrated trying to figure out how to fix these problems that really don't need fixing.

Not sure how clear that came across, but I guess I think that a woman who has to have her partner fix her problems is a little needy.  She simply needs someone to listen to the problems without their eyes glazing over.  (agreeing never hurts either.....rofl)

I remember once telling hubby about some pretty inappropriate stuff my boss said to me (several years back).  His first response was "I'm going up there to talk to him".  I was taken aback a little.  That wasn't the point of telling him my problem.   I simply was telling him why I was mad.  I just wanted him to understand or to listen.....not to go do battle for me.  It woudn't have accomplished what needed to be accomplished if he HAD.  You can be supportive without having to take over, and that's what I think women want.

LOL, Sportsdude.  And I suppose that will come in handy should YOU have a problem.  Just remember that it isn't your job to fight for anyone elses problems

Yeah I know thats the thing with me I end up doing that. Backing up friends people I know etc etc.
Its my  coming out.  I've been labeled a 'protector' by many of people. I guess that because of my size. At 6'8 I can look imposing, when I'm really not.

sounds like you guys have read the book, 'men are from mars, women are from venus'. that book basically said that men need to fix things and 'protect' our women and women want someone to listen to them.
