Large crowds of mourners greeted the coffin of assassinated Lebanese Christian politician Pierre Gemayel after it arrived in his home village on Wednesday, amid fears his death will spark more violence in the troubled nation.

Gemayel, the industry minister and a leading opponent to Syria, was murdered on Tuesday.

His coffin, draped in the flag of his Phalange party, was carried through the mountain village of Bifkaya, followed by large crowds of supporters as bells tolled, beginning three days of mourning.

The crowds applauded somberly as the coffin passed by, and women threw rice from balconies.

Mourners paid their respects to Gemayel's father, former president Amin Gemayel.

Security was tight in the village and across the country as officials prepared for possible violence amid a rising climate of fear and gloom.

Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.

Nope there never will be. Not until both sides realize that they are doing wrong and the US grows a spine and tells Israel to stop it and the PLO grows a spine and stops this 'we must kill all the jews and destroy Israel'.

[ul][li]The all the jewish settlements in the West Bank need to go away. (Israel disagrees on this)[/li][li]Both sides need to realize that Jerusalem will not be part of either a Palestinian state or an Israeli state. (something both sides disagree on)[/li][li]Hamas and Hezzbolah need to stop preaching the distruction of Isreal and promote peace (something they refuse to do)[/li][li]Israel must open up the Gaza Airport (something they refuse to do)[/li][li]The US needs to stop giving millions and millions to the Israel Army (something they refuse to do)[/li][li]Iran and Syria need to stop funding Hezzbollah (not happening anytime soon)[/li][li]Give Syria the Golan Heights region (they want it but Israel won't give it to them)[/li][li]Both sides need to become secular (not happening)[/li][li]Check points need to stop (not happening unless palestinians stop suicide bombings, there by saying we will not strive to blow up Israel)[/li][li]Israel needs to stop incursions into the West Bank, Gaza and retailiations against Hamas etc.[/li][li]Hamas was elected democratically yes they are a terrorist group but they were elected through democratic process, by the international community condemming Palestinians for voting for Hamas that sends deep signals to the people that the international community is not with them.  Hamas didn't forceably take over the Palestinian lands they were elected.  The will of the people must be given respect here.[/li][li]Lebanon is a whole other can of worms
[/li][li]Two state solution. (Hamas doesn't want an Israel to exist, niether does Hezzbollah or any other militant group)
