These are absolutely amazing.  They are from Harbin.....a town in Northern China.  They do this every year and each year they get better.  They are HUGE....some being in 'real scale' and some even have lights in them.

Yeah, those ice sculptures are just amazing.  I got that in my email a few weeks ago too.....I was in AWE.

  The sand sculptures at Harrisson Hot Springs are absolutely amazing too.

Wow!  Thanks PC for that link.  I remember seeing either Hong Kong or China on tv about how their city looks like in December.  OMG.  One day...One day...I'll be over there to check things out.

Fantastic images, PC!!! Lovely. Too bad it doesn't get cold enough in Vancouver to do those. I've seen sculptures like these in Sydney where a team of Chinese sculptures from China came over. They worked in an enclosed area where air condition was pumped into the inflatable tent so everything was kept really, really cold.

  I really marvel at ppl who can create art.

It IS TehBorken....the fine work makes it look more like jewellry, than what was once a block of ice.

This guys work is amazing.  The expressions are exquisite and the detail is impeccable.  They really do look as if they could breathe.

I didn't cut the last picture off.  It IS however only a small section of the whole sculpture.....which was broken down into several smaller pictures of some of the different areas of detail.  I picked that particular one to post, because it was her beautiful expression that I was captured by.
