'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Arrested, Faces Extradition

POSTED: 1:54 pm EDT September 14, 2006

MSNBC has learned that U.S. officials have arrested TV reality star Duane "Dog" Chapman and two family members for extradition to Mexico.

Chapman's wife told MSNBC's Rita Cosby that heavily armed U.S. marshals arrived at the family's house today and took away Chapman, his brother, Tim, and son, Leland.

Cosby said she was told that Mexican government officials wanted the three men sent back there in relation to a three-year-old case.

In 2003, the Chapmans went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to retrieve Max Factor heir Andrew Luster, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges.

Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term, but at the time, the Chapmans were also jailed by Mexican authorities for a brief time three years ago.

Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico.

At the time, the Chapmans were charged by Mexican authorities with illegally capturing Luster. The three returned to the United States after posting bail of their own.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Too bad they didn't arrest his fat bitch of a wife along with the whole inbred clan.

kingy

im hoping that will be in an up coming episode.

What's so interesting about that show? A family decides to go out and arrest the bottom-feeders of society. It reminds me of "cops" except we have bounty hunters instead of policemen.

Why do they always make a big scene of capturing methheads, usually women. In dog we trust. Does he think he is above god (not that I am a believer, but don't chastise people for believing)? That's hot!

Jess

He isnt chastising anyone. And what is suppose to happen all these methheads? Just let them run wild and continue to break the law. I very seriously doubt telling someone "thats hot" is going to make them say, Ok yeah, I'll turn myself in and stop doping up.

Paris

You missed my point, sonny jim. I didn't say he was chastising anyone, I was saying I wasn't chastising people in general for being jesus freaks. Dog puts himself above the the lord geezus by saying in Dog we trust. They make it look too dramatic and difficult chasing crack wh0r3s who are nodding off. They are usually found sitting on park benches drinking 45's. I guess there are a few gullible people who are entertained by this nonsense though. That's hot!

Jess

And who said HE is the one who came up with that saying? Do YOU know HE came up with that saying? Proof please. And for some it isnt the chase its seeing the healing process. Seeing someone say something thats useful. Not that you would understand, afterall, you choose to base yourself on a girl known for sleeping around, bad movies, a bad sex tape. Oh yeah, and not mention her greatest contribution to society... like you insist on saying... that hot!

Nice role model.

Paris

It doesn't matter if he coined the phrase or used the phrase or whatever. He allows it to be used on his show, which means he approves. And Paris is not my role model. I am mocking her. She is a rich hillbilly. You are a poor one. Have a nice day. That's hot.

Jess

Well you have the same morals she does, dont you? Yes, you do. Its obvious by the way you choose to turn this into a personal attack... so sad :-(   Youre parents must be proud of the mess they raised. Have a spectacular life, Paris wannabe.

  BRING BACK DOGS SHOW!

I don't get the attraction to this racist, 80's throw-back thug.  Am I missing something?

I think his persona is kewl, but on the looks scale, he's more akin to the mugshot of Mickey Rourke.
