Anyone know how to get rid of these critters? Tried everything, powder, spray, those ant baits.... nothing works. They go away for a bit then come back.

Anyone has any advice? Ta in advance.
Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.

it is pretty hard to get rid of ants.

you need to find out why the ants are there. probably have some sort of food/water source around. maybe something sweet like fruits or vegetables, the heat makes them spoil alot quicker. make sure your trash is sealed tight.

you could also put some chilli pepper along the ant trails.

Frogrik

mix sugar and borax togeather  leave near ant hill, soon the ants will be long gone...  some raid ant baits work okay too.

Some Chick

If you know where they're coming from, pour boiling water into the nest.  It's a safe, environmentally friendly way to kill them.

They also will NOT cross over a line of icing sugar.  Don't know why.  I learned this many years ago and tried it to keep ants off of my parents' sundeck, and it works.

There's only one solution Lise:

That's cute SD.

Sorry, Lise.  I have no clue, but Some chick's suggestion about using icing sounds like a good idea.  I'll remember that for myself if that time comes where I have to get rid of ants.

wet the area down........all ants come out to the surface.....spray with insect/ant spray.....repeat after couple of days.
