Lise, it took me a while to adjust to a steamer because those damn pots are very very powerful. One time, I didn't release pressure and/or wait for a few minutes, and attempted to open the lid. OMG! My soup was pouring out and I had to quickly put the whole pot into the sink. NOT FUN. But, I learned how to use it and know what not to do. Once you get a hang of it, you'll never let go of your pressure cooker. It saves time and time, I needed.
I also brought a two-tier steamer once. That was a bad investment. Only used that a few times and now it's just collecting dust along with my crock pot.
