 Question: Have any of you ever been evacuated from your homes before?  Our neighbourhood is on flood watch, so I'm going to start packing a "grab and go" bag.  We won't be homeless because my parents live in another area of the GVRD, so we can go there.  I'm not too worried about our posessions or our personal safety, because we live in a unit that's several stories above ground level.  It's just the stress of evacuation.
 
 Just wondering if you guys can share your experiences and give me some advice.

  Sorry about the evac...that sucks balls.

I only had to evacuate my dwelling once, when they were blowing up unexploded ordnance on base and it sparked a wildfire. I put my computer and a pile of clothes in the car. That was my evacuation plan. Hope it helps.

I've done the evacuation thing, packed everything into semi's at my grandma's house thinking the house wouldn't be there in a couple days, if the levee broke.
