Yes sure Mr. SD but finances are not my strong suite.

Compared to most loans, actual student loans have a pretty low interest rate, so basically the bank doesn't charge you much interest each year so in effect they are easier to pay off.

  In addition, a lot of people qualify for "subsidized loans" which means there is no interest at all as long as you are a student!!

  The question is whether you can get a student loan when you're attending school in a different country and I don't know the answer to that, but I think I know who to ask.

I'd like to bless you again but I can't....

  Student loans are the way to go, SD.  The interest rates are extremely low.  I'd google for more info.  I know that Canada student loans can be applied online.    And you might get a bursary which doesn't have to be paid back.

SD....are you only comparing the cost of tuition?  

  I'm really not sure, but I think you may need to do a little more research.  The cost of a university education in B.C. is only 25% higher than in the US.  Although the tuition is lower, the 'out of pocket' expenses are far greater here than there.

  This study may be helpful.....it compares the total cost of a University Education on both sides of the border....not just tuition.
