  Lord of the (Circus) Flies.  Yes, you can train flies. I wouldn't have believed it myself, but....

(The amazing part isn't that you can do it, but that someone would do it.)

Considering the life span of a fly, it would have to be a crash course, wouldn't it?
Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped.  They have not forgotten.

Easy. You get a mangy old dog, don't bathe him for a few weeks and make him sit out on your lawn all the time.
