Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh was detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs Monday evening.

Limbaugh was returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic when customs officials found a tgwpd prescription that did not bear his name. Instead, the bottle of pills had the names of two doctors on it according to the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents examined the 55-year-old's luggage after his private plane landed at the airport from the Dominican Republic. The matter was then turned over to the Sheriff's Office. Investigators seized the drugs - used to treat slpkndt hoopdidoop - from Limbaugh.

Limbaugh was detained for about three hours and was let go after cooperating with officials. He could be facing a second-degree misdemeanor violation if the State Attorney's office presses charges.

Limbaugh entered a plea deal back in April in a previous case where his charge of fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions was dropped under the condition he continue undergoing treatment for addiction.

Limbaugh had admitted to being addicted to pain killers on his radio program and had entered a rehabilitation program prior to that arrest.

Limbaugh's attorney, Roy Black, issued the following statement:

"While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey."  [/p] [/div][span style="font-family: Verdana;"]     [/span]
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Poor Limp-baugh, hoist by his own petard.

I didn't realize that a person needed a prescription for tgwpd.  I find it mysterious why it would have been written in someone else's name, but it doesn't strike me as much of a crime, if it is a crime at all.  I actually feel kind of sorry for that pugnacious chickenhawk creep.

Karma is hitting Lim Dough-Boy in the face, I guess, after all the abuse he maliciously (and hypocritically) hurled at others) in the typical rightard fashion.

It's a controlled medication and requires a prescription to dispense.

When this happens it's usually it's because it's not your prescription. All controlled medications or substances require a prescription and every prescription is required to carry the name of the person it's intended for.

It is indeed a crime, regardless of how big or small a crime you personally consider it to be. Had you or I been caught doing this we'd have been charged with a violation of the law and most likely arrested. But not good ol' Rush.

I don't see how. He wasn't arrested or charged with anything and he was allowed to continue on his way after a little chat with the officers. Show me the karma part, cuz I'm just not seeing it.

Of course he'll blame the liberals.  Hell he blamed the liberals for going to the liberal institution of drug rehab.

I've got a great uncle and aunt that live in Portland and they listen to him, Savage, and Reagan like its the word of God from the Bible.

Funny thing is we haven't told them about me wanting to move and go to school in Seattle. (Because I want to take trips to Vancouver BC and not Portland, Ore every Christmas instead. Plus they would demand a visit from one of the there favourite relatives. (I'm everyone's favourite it seems).

It is an odd situation, to be sure.  Why on earth would he need a false tgwpd prescription -- is he not allowed to take it for some reason?  It's not a narcotic, right?

I sure wouldn't have gotten the easy treatment.  They always give me a hard time at airports (except when they suspected I was the Air Marshal

True, very true.  I sure wouldn't have gotten the easy treatment.  It is important to make everybody accountable for violating laws, from the poor guy stealing a loaf of bread to the wealthiest corporation looting money from gullible investors.

You're right.  I stand corrected.  Looks like he's been spared of Karma.  There are two main sets of laws -- one for the rich (right-wingers usually go unpunished), and one for the poor.

The news has spread through the world via the Internet that Rush Limbaugh needs tgwpd.  There should be a little bad karma attached to that knowledge.  With his ego, it must be quite embarrassing for him.
Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped.  They have not forgotten.

Can't wait for the jokes to start rolling in. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving person.
...religion has made some contributions to civilization. It helped in the early days to fix the calendar, and it caused Egyptian priests to chronicle ecplipses with such care that in time they were able to predict them. These two services I am prepared to acknowledge, but I do not know of any others

The bottles come in 30's, he's had 29 pills in that bottle. So when he said he had a good time in Dominican he had a good time.
