This shouldn't be news to anyone that knows anything about Microsoft, but....

A year ago, Guatemalan inventor Carlos Armando Amado sued Microsoft for stealing an Office idea he had tried to sell them in '92. They were [a href="http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/06/09/0040210&tid=155"]found to be infringing on his patent[/a] and had to pay him $9 million in damages, but they refused and appealed the decision. Today, just a year after they appealed, the Court confirmed the verdict: [a href="http://news.com.com/Microsoft+loses+appeal+in+Office+patent+spat/2100-1014_3-6084943.html?tag=nefd.top"]Microsoft loses[/a]. If that wasn't enough, the amount was raised to $65 million for continuing infringement.

Serves 'em right, in my humble opinion.
