The symptoms are undeniable - extreme prudishness, deleting every image that shows any kind of skin...



... it's as if this lady has never been to



- a beach

- nightclub

- live theatre

- heck, even to a CZone party!



She's like DV's Taleban: Everything is done according to the strict interpretation of the Sharia...



This also explains perfectly the reluctance of mods to reveal their regular DV names. Because these were candidates that were initially shot down by the community as being unsuitable to become a mod. That's why they don't want anyone to know who they are.



Funny thing is, I have nothing against her: The majority of my past interactions with her have been courteous. I have benefited from some of the links and references she's provided in the past.  However, I think our views on morality, freedom of expression, as well as what constitutes pornography, might be quite different.

That's her alright. Apparently she has some major issues with, well, anything and everything that doesn't fit her narrow little world view. See, if she posts something then by definition it must be "okay", but everything else comes under review by Grand Ayatollah Academe.

  Ok, there're a number of issues here:



For one, obviously there're other DVers who can see right through her as well. I was not that whatajoke character.  I saw only bits of this exchange before I had to go back to the kitchen.



When I returned, the thread was long gone. (The above was salvaged from cache).



This brings me to another point: What's with this new habit (that came  with the new mod) of creating a "mod in da house" thread leaving it 15-20 mins, and then deleting it? It's annoying.



Sometimes there's an exchange that I want DV owners to see... but it doesn't stay around long enough.

I forgot to add the funny part - the part that shows what a noob she is:

  Not only was she dead wrong, but she also proved that she's totally clueless when it comes to reading and interpreting IP numbers.



I'm no expert myself, but at the most basic level - IP numbers are read and displayed in segments of 3, not 4.



So looking at the first 1 or 2 segments of anyone's IP would only tell her something about a person's general domain, and nothing else.



So what she's saying is no different than walking up to someone walking down the the street downtown and telling them:



"You look like you're walking in downtown Vancouver."
