Oh yes, I know exactly what you mean - if I added up all the hours I've spent daydreaming over the contents of atlases, they'd stretch to about five years.

Yep, Just like William Tell's....or maybe Robin Hood's.

Robin Hood would be the best example, I think.  Father's shooting arrows at sons doesn't have the same appeal.

It doesn't seem all that healthy either.  I imagine that it could be classified as some  kind of complex or other.

I wonder if William Tell let his kid eat the apple after it was split by the arrow.

Yes, that's the core of the matter - an unanswered question.

Another of life's burning questions left unanswered.  So frustrating to one who wants to know the end of the story.
