March 28, 2005—Does a grizzly bear fish in the woods?

That's just one of the many questions a bear-mounted camera answered in an Alaskan rain forest. Watch as a young female grunts, growls, and belches her way through the day, and witness her encounters with other bears, not all of them friendly.
I like this National Geographic video that includes a grizzly bear's eye look at an Alaska rain forest, captured via a "critter cam" collar. You can even see a little bear scuffle and enjoy a satisfied bear belch. It reminds me of video artist Sam Easterson's mind-blowing [a href="vny!://www.anivegvideo.com/AVV.html"]Animal Vegetable Video[/a] collection of "video footage that has been captured from the perspective of animals, plants, and the environments they inhabit." These kinds of projects provide a wonderfully different view of the world.
