Unbelievable, but it looks like SMF 2.0 message board has finally been released, after an epic f*ckin' development time. It's been in development for sooooooo long (about 30 months) that a lot of people started referring to SMF 2.0 as the "Duke Nukem" release.

(If you don't get that joke, I can't help you.)

I usually hold off on new releases but this one has been in  late dev for soooooooo so long that I think it's probably fairly safe. So, I may see about upgrading this version to that version. If it works, you'll know it . If it does, you'll probably figure that out too when you come here and a bunch of completely broken shit and smoke coming from the browser.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

 Looking forward to it.

Well that may be hard to tell my PC is often smoking away...
Perhaps I will post photos of it later.

It is now later & I still can not get photos to post or upload to Tinypic so I went to my little used Photobucket account

and uploaded this screen shot of my monitor when it is smoking hot & in flames =)

"Duke Nukem Forever" is shoot-em-up video game that was in a perpetual state of "just about to be released real-soon-now"....for almost 15 years.

People have graduated high school, gone to college and become heart transplant specialists in less time than that. And that includes doing a 5-year residency. We fought WWII in less time than it's taken to release Duke Nukem Forever.

Put it this way: If you walked 50 miles per day, you could (theoretically) walk all the way around the Earth in about 1.5 years. So you could have walked around the Earth 10 times since the first development team got to work. Or, in only 8 to 10 years you could have earned a PhD in almost any subject imaginable, including quantum-state particle physics. But you couldn't have released Duke Nukem Forever.

From Wikipedia:
The next installment in the video game series, [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_Forever" title="Duke Nukem Forever"]Duke Nukem Forever[/a], has been in [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development_hell" title="Development hell"]development hell[/a]  for over a decade after being announced in early 1997. DNF was  announced in April 1997, and promotional information for the game was  released in one form or another in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2007, 2008  and 2009. Due to this, the game had been subject to intense speculation  and has won several [a  href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware" title="Vaporware"]vaporware[/a] awards.[/p] The development team was terminated in May 2009, but according to 3d  Realms, the project has not officially been cancelled and the game is  still in development. Although [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take-Two_Interactive" title="Take-Two Interactive"]Take-Two Interactive[/a]  still owns the publishing rights to the game, they do not have an  agreement with 3D Realms to provide funding for the game's continued  development.[sup id="cite_ref-shacknewscancelled_12-0" class="reference"][a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_%28character%29#cite_note-shacknewscancelled-12"][span][[/span]13[span]][/span][/a][/sup]  A lawsuit has been filed by Take-Two Interactive against 3D Realms over  their failure to finish development of the game. The lawsuit has  reached a "settlement" as of May 2010.[sup id="cite_ref-Take-Two_Sues_Duke_Nukem_Forever_Devs_Over_Failure_To_Deliver_13-0" class="reference"][a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_%28character%29#cite_note-Take-Two_Sues_Duke_Nukem_Forever_Devs_Over_Failure_To_Deliver-13"][span][[/span]14[span]][/span][/a][/sup][/p] [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gearbox_Software" title="Gearbox Software"]Gearbox Software[/a]  finally bought the rights and intellectual property of the franchise[sup id="cite_ref-ripten.com_1-1" class="reference"][a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_%28character%29#cite_note-ripten.com-1"][span][/span][span][/span][/a][/sup] and worked on the project since 2009. It was finally released in late May or early June, 2011.

LOL  don't blame TB. Blame the popcorn.

I thought this site had a thingy that popped up if a new post made while you were typing your reply?

Orik

It did  pop up Natasha But like a fool I clicked away and went forward with my post  figuring I could just read what was posted after I posted my comment. Well that is my own fault for taking a break at a inconvenient time.

But I did get some great popcorn for cheap normally it is like 1.50 a bag but they had it at Quest for only 50 cents so I bought some & made it at what seemed like as good as time as any.

Sighs I have had no TV for almost a week now I miss my evening news programs & couple of TV shows...
