Whatev.  People around the world have heard of the Rocky Mountains...if they want to fly to YVR and throw their tourist dollars around town, I'm ok with them calling the mountains whatever name.

Trudeau did say Canada ended at the BC/Alberta border or something like that.
BCers I've met think of themselves differently anyway and 'back east' people are like 'where's the Tim Horton's?'

[/DIV]Trudeau was an odd man for saying that. He and Ottawa was probably more disliked by Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta than BC. Maybe he was sucking up to the praries at the expense of BC?

  I kind of agree with None.  We seem to get some kind of demented pleasure in criticizing the Americans for not knowing Canadian Geography, and yet I suspect many of us are equally clueless about the States.
