In time, missing forum posters will be one of the criteria for "symptoms of forum addiction".  Wait and see.

Do ya think so ?

I used to have an old chair in the living room.  It wasn't the nicest looking chair, but comfy and warm as they come.  I got rid of it finally....and every once in a while, I miss it.  But I have no reason to believe I was addicted to that chair.

Cute, but irrelevant.  The DSM will soon include internet forum addiction.  Since DV "closed down" a lot of people have more time to do other things.

There's nothing wrong with missing familiarity or pleasant routine.  It would be a problem, if you couldn't function without it.  Then I would call it an addiction.
