I need someone to talk me down, before I hoof my computer into next week.

I don't know what the H I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to get my computer to download off my GD camera.

I get the sound signal, which usually means it has recognized the camera....but now it is saying it does NOT recognize the camera.  I know I've lost it, because I'm yelling at my computer "LIAR LIAR....IF YOU DIDN'T RECOGNIZE IT, THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE GIVEN ANY SIGNAL....SO I KNOW YOU KNOW IT'S THERE"

Try this.  It's the only solution I know of for computer problems.

OH THANK YOU LIL ME !!!!!!   I knew if anyone would come up with the perfect solution, it would be you.

Consider your advice appreciated and taken.

Try to go into "your computer" and then check if you can click on the port where your camera is plugged. If so, click on your camera until you reach your pics and just cut and paste those pics on your desktop or in a new folder that you will have created.

  Thanks Michel.

I understand the process.....it just wasn't behaving.  I couldn't click on the camera icon, because it is telling be that it did not detect that it was there. (LIARS!!!)

Sawdust got home.....took out the memory card....put it back in.....and boom....it worked fine.  As appreciative as I was, that P'd me off even more.

Just wondering if you guys know that you have to safety remove hardware or it'll damage the card if you just pull it out.

P.C.

That's a possiblity Michel.  Something was glitchy, because EVERYTHING was running badly.

Yes, that's true purelife.  It actually tells you when you can remove connections safely.

I think next time I have computer issues, I'm going directly to Lil Me's solution.  It works the best.

I think Mr Sawdust just has the magic touch.  Maybe that's why they gave him the raise?

Better yet, get the typewriter out.

Sorry, can't help you there, PC but good luck!

Magic touch indeed.  Harumph !   Well.....maybe you're on to something.

My computer just has it in for me.  I take it very personally.

I think I would probably have gotten the same results if I HAD plugged the USB cord into a typewriter.

Anytime I have technical or error issues with anything i have i always pull the plug so to speak and try it again.

Either that or give it a playful smack to let it know who's boss.
