I've never been to Savary Island (across from Powell River), but it's supposed to be like Cali due to warm ocean currents and white sandy beaches.

I thought I had been to Devonshire Beach, but I jusr re-checked the map.  I was actually at another location on Lesser Slave Lake...close to High Prairie...that is a grody swamp...but has great fishing...walleye, pike...
