Does anyone know of that place that was like a mini Costco?  I think it was called the Canadian Cost Club...or Price Club ????  There used to be one in Nanaimo, but it is gone now.  There are a few products I used to buy there, that I have never seen anywhere else and I'm running low on them.  Is there one in Vancouver ?

Hey PC.

I'm not sure if you're thinking of the same one that I'm thinking of.  But there is a place that has the Costco theme but requires no membership.

I can see the building in my mind but can't seem to come up with the exact name of this place.  I think it's either in Burnaby or Vancouver.  I pass by it once in a while.

It's this huge warehouse.  I'm trying to google it... but have no luck so far.

Ok, found it.  I think this is the one that I had in mind (but not sure if this is what you're thinking of)

  There's one in Burnaby.

I *think* it was later called The Real Canadian Wholesale Club- same company as the StupidStore with lots of NoName products.  There used to be one on Grandview Hwy, and there was one in Victoria as well, P.C.

 Oh, here it is...

I think that's IT.  Yeayyyyy.  I couldn't remember the name for the life of me.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We're on the same page. :)))

(I've been misreading emails today and thought I just completely read PC's post wrong)

Well, I just had a browse through their catalogue.....and that IS the place I'm looking for.

Ja, there's one in Burnaby. I think it's on Kingsway but I'm not sure. I think it's part of the Superstore chain but I could be wrong. Didn't see anything good about it. You don't save as much but that's just me.

You could check it out Michel.  Let me know what you think.

I wanted to go in once but MrPL tells me that nothing there is good.  The food is supposedly not as fresh and good as Costco and they sell expired stuff.  *shrugs shoulder*

I'm still going to check it out for other stuff anyways.

What do you have to get, PC?

P.C.

I'm sure they're not really comparable....although there ARE good deals at both.

I like the Canadian one for their restaurant supplies.  I buy my plastic bags there.  From tiny size (for herbs and such....to large ones for homemade bread.  CHEAP LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE.  I bought a heap a few years ago.....gave a bunch of boxes of them away....and I'm just now running out.  The small ones are like $1.29 for 500 or 1000 or something ridiculous like that.

You can also get the little takeout boxes with the wire handles.....great for picnics.
