[em]i like double deckers for some reason I don't know why Victoria has them and Vancouver doesn't. Anybody know why?
[/em] I'm not sure....but I think it was mainly a part of their tourist and sightseeing thing, although they are a part of their regular transit fleet. Victoria was often touted as being similar in atmostphere to parts of jolly old England (after all, it is named after the queen). I've never been on one.
I believe the quote is something like "more british than the british"
In part the double decker busses are not designed to go very fast (i.e. rather top heavy) as such they are fine for Victoria because that fricken fracken blue haired, prune gobbling, raisin headed granny has forgotten that the gas pedal is the long skinny one - and that click click click sound is her left turn signal not her damn pace maker tends to drive slowly.
Or so I have heard.
